Medical Insurance
Medical insurance is a type of coverage that helps cover the costs of procedures and visits to the doctor. Without insurance, healthcare can truly become expensive. Many employers offer this to employees as a part of the benefits package. Medical insurance often comes with individual and family plans, depending on which plans the employer offers.
Indemnity Plan
Indemnity plans are another type of job benefit that’s sometimes offered to temporary employees. In this plan, insurance covers a percentage of medical visits and procedures. Moreover, there are no restrictions on the network for this type of coverage, allowing patients to freely choose which doctors they want to see.
Holiday Pay
This paid time off compensates workers for days the company is closed due to a holiday. Examples include, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. Usually, employers pay staff regular compensation for the time off, and employees don’t have to use paid time off for holidays.
Vacation Pay
Vacation time is also known as paid time off (PTO). Employers provide workers with a set number of days for PTO, and staff members accrue additional PTO as they work. A full day of PTO equals your pay for working an 8-hour shift. This temp employee benefit is not the same as vacation time, as regular “vacation time” does not leave you with payment for the time out of the office; however, vacation pay will give you compensation.
Skill Enhancement
With a skill enhancement plan, you can create professional goals with your employer to enhance your abilities as a hard-working individual. These programs allow you to gain access to personalize coaching focused on your performance as an individual.
