You Get What You Pay For
Who doesn’t enjoy bragging to friend about a good deal? However, have you asked yourself, how did I get such a good deal? Before jumping on a discounted rate, it’s important to understand why it’s a “deal” in the first place. Is the food close to expiration? Is this model about to be outdated? When comes to hiring new talent to join your team, staffing discounts are sometimes too good to be true.
I must share with you what I share with all my clients- in staffing; you simply get what you pay for. This old adage is one we all know too well. So before you hire the staffing agency who offers you the lowest price, know this:
A staffing agency’s most skilled and talented candidates are going to work for the companies willing to pay the most for them.
Consider the automobile dealer who has a luxury car for sale. Customer #1 is willing to pay sticker price, and customer #2 wants a deal. Which customer is the dealer showing the car to?
Next time you have a job opening requiring skilled talent- ask your staffing consultant, what will it cost to see your top talent first?
